 Ultrasound has long been known as an adjunctive tool in finding and diagnosing breast lesions. However, whenever ultrasound is used, it is usually only the user that best understands the resulting images and their orientation. Somo.v™ utilizes a wide field of view, state of the art, high frequency transducer to acquire large format images (14x17x5 cm) which include the nipple for accurate anatomic reference. Using U-Systems' proprietary image processing algorithms, somo.v's rapid point of reference (RPR) identifies exactly where you are in the breast in relation to nipple, skin, and clock position.
